Notes for
CICERO
FARRAR:
Cicero is the Great Grandfather of Claude Farrar.
From
Cicero's death certificate I find his father to be Trolio Farrar and his mother,
Mary Miles.
Trolio was a son of John Farrar who mentioned him in his 1852 Coffee Co., TN will. I believe Trolio could have been deceased since the will mentions the heirs of sons Trolio, Lorenzo Dow and Cicero. Other children of John mentioned in the will were Mary, Jane, Malinda and John Quincy Adams.
John Farrar who d. 1852 was possibly the son of John Farrow who died 1812 in Person Co., NC. In 1828 his heirs sued for settlement of his estate. The heirs were John Farrow and William Farrow of Bedford Co., TN, Polly Hasford, Benjamin Farrow, Betsy Arnold, and Thomas Farrow, all of Benton Co., TN, and Elisha Farrow of Coffee Co., TN.
John
Farrow had moved to Coffee Co. from Bedford Co. by 1835. In 1838 he sold 89
acres of his Bedford County property, He purchased 160 acres in Coffee Co. in
1839 and another 160 in 1841.
